It has been soooo nice these past couple days, and we are expecting more of it! We came in to this weekend with absolutely no plans, and it feels awesome. I'm thinking about taking advantage of the sun (as I should) and lay out by the pool to get my tan on! Which I need, I'm as white as a ghost.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!

Oops, I took too long to post! Sorry...
I definitely should have posted a long time ago, I'm sure whoever is reading this is wondering how our first week went at work! I will let Matt tell his own since he now has an admin to post on here, but here was mine:
My first day was extremely overwhelming...to the point of me not even being sure I was going to like it there. I had a lot of information thrown at me, a lot of names, a lot of expectations to follow, on top of trying to be as impressive as I could be. But hey, it's like that for any job right?
The second day went better, I was sent out on a "buddy lunch" with a coworker on the company's credit card which was fun. I started to memorize children's names, and some co-workers (it is a large center so there are a lot!)
Day three, I learned how to drive a small bus around the city of Bellevue and on some highways. I actually enjoyed that! Since I used to drive my enormous truck, this felt way smaller and easier to drive.
Day four and five felt like actual work days. I was put into a few classrooms alone with the children (mostly the school-age) and they all seem to like me! YAY! I am not as overwhelmed as I was at the beginning, but the need to impress is still on my shoulders which can still make my days difficult.
This weekend, my family came up and stayed in our apartment with us. It was overly crowded, but I loved it. It felt great to have them up here, to be lazy, relax, and we went to see the King Tut exhibit! It was fun and very interesting. It's still hard for me to say goodbye to them, but Matt and I were talking about trying to make it down at the end of July, so maybe we'll see you all then! If not, then we are for sure coming back in August (the 23rd through the 26th).
Much love to you all!

Last day...
Last day of freedom! Just kidding. Well kind of...
We are both so nervous for tomorrow! Both starting our first day at our new jobs. But at the same time we're both looking forward to it!
We've been here for a week...it feels like it's been a month. We're having a lazy day on this last day hanging out, Matt has the Mariner game on, about to make some sausage and bought some potato salad :) Definitely taking advantage of this beautiful Sunday.

The Friday where not much happened....
Today was the LAZIEST day I've ever had aside from when I'm sick. Matt on the other hand, went to orientation! YAY HIM! He got to sit in an auditorium for...6-7 hours?! Maybe we both had a boring day. I think I watched 3 lifetime movies and an episode of The Bachelorette..ya pretty lazy. But, now we can make our chicken, rice (with corn and black beans), and spinach salad for dinner! Yum!

Finally updating...
I finally made to my computer! (Not that I have been super busy). We definitely went on an adventure the other day. Instead of going into Seattle by Light Rail, I drove my little bug into Bellevue! ***SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CITY!*** We had no idea what to expect there, it has it's own skyline! I bought the trilogy of Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James. If you're a woman who loves intimacy and isn't ashamed to read about...I highly suggest it! (haha)
Yesterday, we went on a walk down to the riverfront park by our apartment, had some burgers, and took a little stroll to the landing. We meant to go by some baseball gloves and ended up with a ball and some discs that Velcro together...Matt is like a "kid in a candy shop" when it comes to those things (so he says). He pretends he is a baseball pitcher while using me as a catcher...in our living room. My mom would kill us if it was her house. ;)
We caught up on our Master Chef last night! Definitely our favorite show...(Go Christine!)
Today we slept in, hung out on the sofa, and decided to drive to Issaquah to get my route to work down one more time, and Matt bought me lunch at a YUMMY Mexican Restaurant! Then we took a trip to Target and got some floating chairs for our pool (we finally decided we need to stop spending money), and some rum + margarita mix to make some daiquiris. They were pretty good, Matt could be a bartender! We made it to the pool and played some chicken, had some breath-holding contests, sat in the hot tub....good times. We both start work in a few short days, and Matthew has orientation tomorrow! YAY!!
Be back soon!
Much love,
Sam and Matt

Happy Tuesday!
I didn't think I would have so many page views already! :)
Well, we have decided we need to adjust our sleeping schedule by the weekend. We've been staying up so late in front of the tv, I don't know if we will ever get up for work if we keep this up! Waffles hit the spot this morning though! :)
About to plan our day, we're thinking about going into the city. It's about time we just take a day and explore! Tell you about it later!!
Much love,

Well, here we are!
3 days ago, we arrived! The countdown got smaller, and smaller, until the day finally came. We had amazing help from our parents, we thank them so much.
As Chief Seattle said, "things went as planned." :)
We've already made it to a Mariners game, and have eaten out way too much. I learned my route to work today! I'm happy my little slug bug took me there successfully! We both start work in one week from today. I will do my best to update more and more throughout the summer!
Love and miss you all! <3
